With coils this fantastic, you’re going to want to make sure you always keep them on hand, so you never have to go without your vape. There is no exact science as to when coils will burn out, but there are a few factors that can affect coil lifespan. The first are the ingredients in your e-liquids. Juices higher in acidity (fruit flavors tend to have higher acid levels) and higher in VG or vegetable glycerin will wear on your coils more and cause them to burn out quicker. The other key factor is how often you vape. Those who love chasing clouds, vaping all day every day, will probably only get about five to seven days out of each coil. Moderate vapers, who vape every day, but just a few drags here and there can maybe get about two weeks give or take out of a coil. Finally, casual vapers’ coils will probably last as long as three weeks or more.
Is there a way to tell when your e-cig coil needs replacing? Yes, there are many telltale signs that an atomizer head isn’t producing the way it should be. Among these signs are, a decrease in vapor production, a gurgling noise or burnt taste when inhaling, and e-juice leaking into your mouth. The most obvious symptom that a coil is burnt out is no vapor production at all. If you notice any of these issues with your vaporizer, change your coil immediately to get back to getting the most out of your vape.
Please remember that these coils should only be used by advanced vapers. A prior knowledge of sub-ohm vaping is essential to avoid any injury or damage to your vaping device. Tiger coils are manufactured to work with mechanical mods, built to handle sub-ohm resistance of 0.5 ohm or lower.

With coils this fantastic, you’re going to want to make sure to keep extras on hand, so you never have to go without your vape. A number of vaping characteristics affect the length of your coil. The ingredients in your e-juice are one of those factors. E-liquids higher in acidity (fruit flavors tend to have more acid) or vegetable glycerin (VG) will wear on coils quicker. The other major factor that affects coil lifespan is how often you vape. If you vape all day, every day, then you will likely only get five to seven days out of a coil. Moderate vapers, who vape daily but just taking a few drags here and there, can probably go about two weeks before needing to replace their coils. Finally, light or casual vapers can go as long as three weeks or more on one coil without replacement.
What are the signs that a coil needs to be replaced? A decrease in vapor production is one of the first signs that a coil may be going bad. Other symptoms include liquid leaking into your mouth, a gurgling noise, or a burnt taste when inhaling. Obviously, if you are experiencing no vapor production at all, then your coil needs to be replaced. To make sure you’re always getting the most from your electronic cigarette, replace your coil as soon as you start to experience any of these issues.

Keeping a package of replacement coils on hand is essential to making sure you never go a day without your vape. Coils can go at any time, but there are a few factors that can lead to coils burning out quicker. These factors include the acidity of your e-juice (fruit flavors tend to be higher), the VG or vegetable glycerin level of your liquid (higher VG means a thicker liquid, which will wear on coils more), and of course how often you chase clouds. Heavy vapers may only get five to seven days out of each coil. Moderate vapers can probably get somewhere around two weeks before needing to replace a coil. And, light or casual vapers may be able to go as long as three weeks or more on one coil.
So how can you tell if an e-cigarette coil needs replacing? The first sign is usually a decrease in vapor production. Other signs that come after this can include, a burnt taste in your mouth, liquid leaking into your mouth, or a gurgling noise when you inhale. Finally, if you are experiencing no vapor at all, then your coil is definitely burnt out and needs to be replaced. If you notice any of these signs, replace your coil immediately to make sure you’re getting the most out of your electronic cigarette.
Please note that Hive coils are intended for advanced users only. A knowledge of sub-ohm vaping is essential to avoiding injury or damage to your personal vaporizer. These coils are designed to work with mechanical mods that are built to handle a sub-ohm resistance of 0.5 ohm or below.

I bought a 5-pack of the Tiger coils. I'd read somewhere that they were the best of the three "beast" coils when it comes to flavor, so that's what I went with. The Mini V8 kit itself comes with a Tiger installed and a Hive in the box. I have tried both and the Tiger wins on flavor, hands-down. I've also tried the quad clapton and both of the specialty coils have more flavor than it does. The Hive isn't bad and it produces bigger clouds than the Tiger, but I'm not trying to impress anybody, I'm in it for the flavor. The only downside is that they haven't lasted very long, but I've been admittedly impatient in properly priming and wicking the coils, so on my next install I'm going to wick it like I should and let it sit overnight, then slowly prime it from 10 watts on up to 60-70 in units of 5. I hope that makes these coils last a bit longer because the taste is phenomenal, second only to the Uwell Crown in my collection. I'm interested to try the snake, but it will probably be a while because I'm going to be buying Tigers for a while since I know they're quality.
